Pro-Choice Advocates to Ascend on Milwaukee This Weekend

The Garbage Fyre Festival will be in Milwaukee this weekend.

The Garbage Fyre Festival, a week long counter-protest to a national anti-abortion event that will take place in and around Milwaukee from July 13-20, is coming to town this weekend. The festival will involve a coalition of local and national activists, churches and performers that will involve direction action to counter the message of the Operation Save America (OSA) rally.

Some of the events planned for the Garbage Fyre Festival, which was organized by Abortion Access Front, include live events such as comedy, burlesque, and music. OSA on the other hand will bring national voices to speak out against abortion rights and could include as many as 1,500 participants.

The festival is being labeled Garbage Fyre Festival as a “cheeky nod to the infamously failed, ridiculous Fyre Festival.” Lizz Winstead, founder of the Abortion Access Front (AAF) and The Daily Show co-creator, considers OSA a hate group.

“People need to be vigilant and demand of their leaders that oppressing the rights of people is not why they were elected,” she said. “Bodily autonomy, freedom to worship and freedom to decide who you love should be valued and honored in Wisconsin and America. When it comes to access to reproductive care including abortion, anything less than full autonomy is reproductive coercion and government control over someone’s control of self- determination.”

Every day, the Garbage Fyre Festival protesters will hold a different public action event that you can sign up for here. One of these events is Access Fest, which will be held at 2:00 Sunday at Red Arrow Park. The majority of OSA rallies will be held at the Zoofari Conference Center on West Bluemound Road, but those involved will also take trips to Madison and Ripon, WI.

According to AAF “Access Fest is a connective gathering to mobilize folks who want to plug into the work ahead to protect and expand access to a spectrum of reproductive healthcare – from free, legal, and medically provided abortion on demand, to supported and safe conditions to conceive, birth and raise healthy children.”

About 20 national organizations will join AAF, and over ten local organizations have pledged support, from the Women’s Medical Fund to Showing Up For Racial Justice Milwaukee. The Abortion AF Tour, which is making a stop in Madison as well, is also taking part in the events.

American Business needs babies!

Babies by any means (one-night stands, rape, incest included), is the very best way of forcing people to band together as "high-consumption" households. They buy diapers, formula and baby food, they buy clothes that are discarded before they are worn out, they pay for daycare, they pay private school tuition and force communities to raise their property taxes, they force people to take out home mortgages and have new home and shopping mall construction. Business wins!

To get more babies abortion must be outlawed.
To keep making babies, contraception must be stopped too.
Catholics always wanted to make more Catholic babies, gotta out-breed the Baptists, Evangelicals, Muslims, and everyone else. (Gotta get more on that collection plate.)

And to add to the Prescription Drug debate, we need to get all the "working people" on "foreign-quality" contraception, more accidental pregnancies are needed by people who think they can get away with all that frequent "fun". No sense giving "the Pill" to people on welfare.

Want to know the "worst" kind of working consumer? It is the one who lives lower than what their potential means are.

Workers who save for later are not spending their entire paycheck in the American retail market today. That is a waste of American payrolls!

Workers who can invest in Wall Street stocks or overseas investments do nothing to help the American retailer either, neither provides paying customers to American businesses, high paid Americans buying goods made by low paid foreign workers. -- Note, that is why I do NOT like tax breaks for the wealthy, because they will not spend those tax savings where it is needed, at Main Street cash registers!

Even better than a worker who spends their entire paycheck is the worker who spends MORE than their paycheck. That is called using credit, taking out loans. Home mortgages, Auto loans, even simple credit card debt.

Consumer Debt (not Government debt) is the true creator of "consumer spending money" that fuels American business, big business now takes cash profits out of the American tax economy, allows these cash receivers to put it away as hard money protected by the American government as if it where backed by gold bullion.

Trump and other Wall Street investors want interest rates to stay low, it lets them buy more stock, it also allows this "Private Debt" to do its thing.

In the 1970s, my college economics class taught me how money was "created". I put $100 in the bank. Bank lends out $80 in a loan. That $80 is spent as "hard cash" and deposited in another or the same bank. Bank lends out 80% of that $80, so another $64 is now active in the economy. 80% of that $64 is $51.20. 80% of that is $40.96, 80% of that is $32.77. Now that is $368.93 active in the economy, all from my original $100 and 5 cycles. It was estimated that for every $1 put in, there was $6-7 circulating in the economy.

What they did not say was loans had to keep rolling over. If not by me, then by someone else.
