The African American Children’s Theatre will host its year-end performance at the Elm Creative Arts School at mid-month. Free and open to the public, the program features two works. One tells the story of four contemporary Milwaukee Heroes. The other sounds like kind of a clever premise. The Wolf from the Three Little Pigs is brought to trial in a courtroom drama. Sounds like fun.
From the official press release:
“We are proud to present what has been the culmination of a wonderful journey,” said Associate Director, Jason Drake-Hames. “Throughout the year, I have seen all our kids grow in confidence and skill, as well as truly embracing the chance to educate and entertain through theater. This group of talented young men and women has been an absolute joy to work with, and proves yet again the power and potential of our youth to become Milwaukee heroes themselves.”
The AACT’s Milwaukee Heroes and The Trial of Alexander T. Wolf will be staged for one performance-only at 4 p.m. on May 14 at the Elm Creative Arts School on 900 W. Walnut St. For more information about AACT, visit www.aact.us.
