The Sunset Playhouse in Elm Grove will be staging a production of The Addams Family musical this coming October. The venerable community theater is looking to cast for its production at the end of the summer.
This is a musical comedy that manages to be lighthearted and fun without compromising an impressive degree of depth for pop musical theater. This is one of the better musicals to come out of the past fifteen years with respect to thematic complexity. A really remarkably balanced show.
Auditions will take place August 17-18, with callbacks on August 19 if necessary.
Rehearsals run August 31-Oct 14.
The show runs Oct. 15-Nov. 8.
