After Henry (Ben Rosenfield), a New York subway busker, falls into a coma when struck by a car, his sister Franny (Anne Hathaway) returns from overseas. She decides to check out Henry’s musical inspiration, a diffident young Dylanesque troubadour called James Forester (Johnny Flynn), and over several encounters the seeds of romance are planted and nourished. Hathaway is good in this low-key indie film, which captures family dynamics as well as Brooklyn’s Americana music scene.
