David and Marla Poytinger, the husband and wife duo behind mini golf bar Nine Below and axe-throwing bar AXE MKE, announced today that they will move their painting bar, Splash Studio, to the East Side. Splash is currently located in the Third Ward at 184 N Broadway. Its new location, 1815 E. Kenilworth Pl., was the former home of Cans Bar & Canteen and School Yard Bar & Grill.
“The Third Ward has been home to Splash Studio for the past seven years, and we are incredibly grateful to the people who have supported us since the beginning,” Marla Poytinger said in a press release. “We look forward to bringing the creativity of the Splash Studio brand closer to our other bars and growing the concept even further on the East Side.”
Splash plans on using the new space to expand into family programming and patio seating. Current Splash Studio membership programs will continue. Plans are in the works to offer admittance to all three bars.
The Poytingers plan to have a seamless transition from one location to the other, with Splash operating out of its current location into early 2019. An official opening date for the East Side location is expected in the next few months.
