At first glance, Christopher Paul Stelling could seem like a typical country/folk singer-songwriter: soft acoustic guitar with quick lyrics. But upon a deeper look, Stelling is, well, stellar. His fingerpicking guitar style is reminiscent of some of the great country/folk musicians, especially on “Horse.” Sometimes Stelling sings too quickly, leaving the lyrics indiscernible, as on “Revenge.” Stelling’s style is different from the norm; there is a good chance he could make his mark on the country/folk world.
