Milwaukee singer-songwriter Hayward Williams selected an unlikely venue for the release show behind his latest album, Cotton Bell: the gilded Skylight Opera Theatre. The show’s $15 cover charge includes a copy of the CD, a contemplative collection of slow-simmering Americana, shaded with soft arrangements and shades of Townes Van Zandt’s inquisitiveness.
