Launched in 2014 by Coors Light, the Full Court Refresh program helps restore local basketball courts in cities across the country. Last year, four cities received court upgrades and this year, eight cities were part of the program, including Milwaukee for the first time. Between February and May, Coors Light made a donation toward the refurbishment of community basketball courts every time someone tweeted using the hashtags #fullcourtreFRESH and #over21. At 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, former NBA player and basketball TV analyst Kenny “The Jet” Smith, who has partnered with Full Court Refresh from its start, will visit Milwaukee’s Major Goolsby’s to present a donation on behalf of the program to Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals (MULYP) to restore local basketball courts. MULYP, founded in 1998, is an auxiliary arm of the nonprofit Milwaukee Urban League, which focuses on sponsoring community service projects.
