When we last heard from Gerald Walker he was in a testy mood. On his last mixtape, Yesterday You Said Tomorrow, the Milwaukee rap fumed about the endless delays and hurdles postponing his debut album, Target. That was nearly a year and a half ago, and since then he's played frequent shows and made a major move, relocating to New York, but Target still isn't out. Thankfully, that will change soon: He's set a release date of Sept. 22 for the record. Already it feels like the weight has been lifted. Released yesterday, the album's soulful first single, "No Heart Feelings," finds Walker in a conciliatory mood, brushing off perceived slights as he looks toward the future.
