Festa Italiana
Every summer Festa Italiana is one of the best-attended ethnic festivals at the Summerfest grounds, and we’re guessing it has to do with the food. More than 40 restaurants and vendors set up shop, stuffing festival patrons with an endless supply of pizza, pastas, sausages, eggplant, cannoli and gelato. Flag throwers, cooking demonstrations, opera singers, fireworks and religious displays entertain the crowd while they digest their meals and prepare for their next course. (E.R.)
