The place to be for funky throwback sounds in aid of a good cause the evening of Saturday, April 25 will be Celebrations Banquet Hall, 4740 W. Bradley Rd.
The Milwaukee chapter of Jack and Jill of America, an organization dedicated to the betterment of child and family welfare, will be holding a '70s and '80s dance party.
Proceeds will benefit Pearls For Girls, a group assisting at-risk Milwaukee African-American females and Latinas from 10 to 19 years of age. Cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. Since period dress is being encouraged, it may be worth the $35 admission for the retro fashion show alone.
