Sara Ruhl’s Eurydice was written over a dozen years ago when she was in graduate school. She adapted the story of Orpheus and his wife into a story about his wife and her father and gave it more of a contemporary feel. That vision, told largely from the perspective of Orpheus’ wife Eurydice, has been quite popular in the years since it debuted.
The latest local production comes to southeastern Wisconsin in a production that’s being staged by UW-Sheboygan’s University Theatre. Thomas Campbell directs. Eurydice runs Nov. 16 - 19 at the University Theatre on 1 University Dr. in Sheboygan. For more information, visit UW-Sheboygan online.
