As an author, photographer and inspirational speaker, Elizabeth Murray wears many hats. But given her passion for nature in general and gardening in particular, the hat she most frequently dons is probably wide-brimmed and made of straw. Notable among Murray’s accomplishments is her role in the restoration of Monet’s garden and her subsequent photographs of the same, which have been exhibited along with Monet’s paintings in eight museums.
The Milwaukee Art Museum Garden Club has invited Murray to give a talk based on her newest book Living Life in Full Bloom. Taking place on April 16, from 6-9 p.m., the presentation utilizes her photography, personal stories and humor in order, as Murray says, “to inspire the imagination of my audience to connect with what has heart and meaning for them, and to express their own creativity in their work and personal lives.” Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
