A food crawl is the same basic concept as a pub-crawl but without the need for a designated driver. The fourth annual Walker’s Point Food Crawl takes place on Saturday, May 30, from 12-3 p.m. Attendees will sample delectable victuals at more than fourteen of Milwaukee’s finest eaterie—all of which happen to be located in historic, walkable Walker’s Point. After savoring albacore pastrami with miso cured quail egg and chimmi churri sauce at the Screaming Tuna, for example, burn a couple calories and keep your appetite active with a leisurely stroll to the another location, perhaps the Black Sheep where you’ll taste wild mushroom and fontina stuffed risotto ball atop mild red chili sauce, parmesan and leek crisp. The rapidly disappearing tickets are available here.
Captain Frederick Pabst was a man of refined taste. His magnificent Flemish Renaissance Revival style mansion makes this clear. On June 26, from 6-8 p.m., you too can relax like a brewing tycoon by attending “A Fine Time For Wine” at the Pabst mansion. While relaxing on the domicile’s front terrace, attendees will snack on light food and sip wines that have been specially selected by Downer Avenue Wine and Spirits. Tickets are $35 for members of the Pabst mansion and $40 for non-members. Purchase tickets in advance here for a $5 discount.

If you have designs on being the next Captain Pabst or establishing an eatery that would be the pride of the Walker’s Point Food Crawl, take note:
