For the tween-aged girl in us all, the Bradley Center hosts the 2008 Tour of Gymnastics Superstars tonight at 7 p.m., which pairs young athletes with the music of “Disney Girlz Rock 2.” World champion Shawn Johnson and nine-time world medalist Nastia Liukin are the most accomplished of the dozen-plus names of the bill, which also features hunky male competitors like Paul Hamm and Blaine Wilson, as well as live performances from KSM and Jordan Pruitt. The evening promises to be one part Olympics, one part Hannah Montana concert.

You know what? If you're open-minded enough to listen without prejudice and try and remember Pinkerton DIED (yeah, it was such a classic, no one bought it, Weezer fans), you might just find that Weezer's recent output is right up there among their best. Not all pop music is bad, it just needs to be done differently. While Rivers Cuomo may sound cheesy every now and then, at least he's not stuck in a time warp like most Weezer fans.

LCD Soundsystem is miles beyond Dupri.
It's a joke and undermines the reviewer's credibility to suggest "Can't Stop Partying" even comes close to any of LCD's output.
and you know what?
Cuomo's use of the term "homies" was cute 15 years ago, but hasn't been since.
While the last record is certainly worse than this one, this one will not only piss off the faithful, it'll most likely utterly fail to gain any new ones.
Cuomo may not be completely out of ideas, but he's certainly bereft of good ones.
