The true story of a once forgotten blues record label from unassuming Grafton, Wis. is told in the Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Grafton City Blues, which the theater stages tonight at 7:30 p.m. Set in a modern-day Bronzeville attic, the play begins with the discovery of relics from Paramount Records, a depression-era label which released sessions from future legends like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Ma Rainey and even Louis Armstrong.
