Oh (voiced by Jim Parsons) and the rest of his Boov species use Earth as a hideout from their archenemies the Gorg. Then Oh makes a terrible mistake, telegraphing their location to the Gorg. While on the run from his own kind, color-changing Oh meets and befriends preteen Earthling, Tip (Rihanna), and her pet cat, named Pig. Together the trio attempts to fight off the Gorg invasion and to free humankind from Australia, a sort of reservation established for humans by the Boov. Oh is the one individual thinker among otherwise obedient Boov who kowtow to their goofy leader Smek (Steve Martin). Jennifer Lopez voices Tip’s sassy mother and performs a song to accompany the several songs performed by Rihanna.
