Brief Candles and other local favorites

Another day of Summerfest, another great set of local bands playing the Cascio Groove Garage, sponsored by Shepherd Express and ExpressMilwaukee.com. Among today’s highlights is a 4:15 p.m. set from Milwaukee ’s awesome Brief Candles. They play sweeping, sugarcoated shoegaze with lovely, Cocteau Twins melodies and a disarmingly agreeable jangle.
