While it is unfortunate that a pregnancy could result from rape or incest, we should not murder a child because of the sins of the father. A woman should not have the right to abort and murder the life of an innocent child. I don't think Todd Akin should step down because most of the people in his district probably believe as he does.

The baby should be considered a blessing. If the mother feels she would have no love for the child, then have it adopted by someone else. But by no means does a woman have the moral right to slaughter another human just because she doesn't want to feel fat for 9 months.

Are you aware of the fact that rape and incest are in the majority of times are brutal and very violent crimes which are mostly committed by people whose genetic histories are very questionable. The memories of a brutal and violent Rape and or Incest are imbedded in the victims heads for a lifetime in most instances..Have anyone you love has ever been raped at gunpoint after a serious beating about the head and face ?

What if the Blessed Mother Mary of Jesus was raped by an uncle and had a child?  Do you think Jesus would say "oh let thee murder thine chiild for uncle is the sire and was not gentle and romantic during conception"?
Look all the people in Milwaukee's inner city.  Most of them are " people whose genetic histories are very questionable."  Slaughtering the innocent child is not going to erase the memories of a brutal rape.  It will only make matters worse. Now the girls will have a memory of rape and the guilt of murder.  How about we execute the rapist but spare the child?  Not the other way around.  Read the 10 Commandments - thou shalt not shed innocent blood.
