Have you been telling yourself that this is the summer you’re running that 5k? Do you tell your friends that you’ve been training for that half marathon even though you’re really just watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix? Would it be easier for you to get up and run a race if I told you some delicious bacon was on the other end of that finish line?
Well now you’re in luck because this Thursday, July 30th at Sheridan Park in Cudahy the Run for the Bacon is being held and it’s bigger than ever.
The race starts at 6:30 p.m. with one goal in mind. Get to the Bacon Bash by the time it starts at 7. The Bacon Bash runs from 7-9 p.m. after the race. Runners will enjoy bacon-themed treats, as well as Sprecher Amber and root beer, sponsored by Sprecher Brewery. Live music will be provided by The Johnsons.
Registration is available on the day of the event for $35. More information here.
Just like running, bacon is good for you.
