It’s recently been announced that this coming September, The Ganymede Ensemble will be staging a free outdoor production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in Kadish Park. The same park that Optimist Theatre has been using for the hippie love-fest of its Midsummer Night’s Dream will play host to fair Verona. As this is The Ganymede Ensemble, the entire cast of the play will be young women. Andrea Mabie plays Romeo. Madeline Farley plays Juliet.
The all-female Romeo and Juliet runs Sep. 5, 6 and 12 at the amphitheater in Kadish Park. All performances are free. For more information, full cast and further updates as they become announced, visit the Ganymede Ensemble on Facebook.
