On Saturday, April 18, the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center is hosting a multicultural smorgasbord of dance and music. As the name suggests, the second annual “Students Supporting Students – A Multicultural Extravaganza” will showcase the diverse talents and charitable spirit of Milwaukee students. The 14 performances will include an Irish dance champion, Hmong and Bollywood dancers, South Milwaukee High School’s a cappella group, Chinese musicians and dancers, jazz, opera and classical music. To supplement the experience, international appetizers and snacks will be served during the event. The price is right and so is the purpose: the $15 admission fee ($10 for students) will support non-profit organization Prevent Blindness Wisconsin.
Hosted by the Wisconsin Coalition of Asian Indian Organizations (WCAIO), this two-hour extravaganza takes place on Saturday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. Tickets may be purchased by calling Michelle at (414) 766-5049 or at southmilwaukeepac.org.
