The transcendently hooky Milwaukee rock quartet Midnight Reruns will play the show they were born to play this Saturday when they open for one of their primary muses, The Replacements, at the Rave. And ahead of that show they've got some new music to share. Today Punktastic.com began streaming the group's new EP, Get Me Out, a four-song tease that culminates in a spot-on cover of The Mistreaters' howling "The Other Man." As the band tells Punktastic, the EP was produced by Stephen Strupp of Sat. Nite Duets and is intended to hold fans over under the group can figure out distribution for its upcoming sophomore album, which they recorded with Tommy Stinson of The Replacements last fall.
Get Me Out will come out Friday, May 1 digitally and on limited-run cassettes. You can stream it below.
