Unlike many performing arts groups, the Florentine Opera doesn’t take the summer off. Live performances take place on the lakefront (at Festa Italiana), in Bay View, at the Peck Pavilion and the Estabrook Park Beer Garden. The summer season kicks off with an outdoor fundraiser called “Pasta & Puccini,” featuring pianist Ruben Piirainen, soprano You-Seong Kim, mezzo soprano Kristin Ngchee, tenor Rodell Rosel and baritone Pablo Siqueiros along with drinks and dinner al fresco.
