The Wisconsin Area Music Industry announced their 2015 WAMI Award winners last night at an awards ceremony at the Turner Hall Ballroom, and as usual Milwaukee was well-represented, with top awards going to Field Report (Album of the Year), GGOOLLDD (Song of the Year and New Artist of the Year) and WebsterX (Rap/Hip-Hop). The night's highest honor, Artist of the Year went to the Baraboo indie-pop band Phox. Three veteran Wisconsin acts, Plasticland, Sigmund Snopek and The Robbs, were inducted into the WAMI Hall of Fame, along with Judas Priest, who were inducted the organization's new Global Honorary Hall of Fame. Judas Priest were not in attendance.
