This week on The Disclaimer, WMSE's weekly cabal with Ryan Schleicher, Milwaukee Record editor Matt Wild and I, we're joined by Jordan "DJ Madhatter" Lee, who is curating an Alverno Presents production this weekend. He's assembled a big band of local musicians to pay tribute to the long career of Quincy Jones, the bandleader/composer/performer behind six decades' worth of contributions to the American songbook. Lee previews the show and shares some tidbits from Jones' incredible career. Then we turn our attention to the biggest local news of the week: The unveiling of plans for the new Bucks arena, which will be part of a proposed billion (!) dollar development. Did they pick the right spot? Will developers have the clout to bring a plan this ambitious to light? And what's up with those bizarre, science-fiction-esque artists renderings?
