Most would agree that surgery, auto repair and law enforcement are best left to professionals. Some might choose to add sports to this list, and for those who prefer to watch rather than do, Milwaukee serves up professional spectator sports year round.
Enjoy a brat bedaubed in Secret Stadium Sauce along with a beer or two and cheer on the Major League Baseball Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park, one of the finest places to view a ballgame in the nation. Even if the weather outside is frightful, with Miller's retractable roof, every day's a great day for a ballgame.
After the Brewers close the season by winning the World Series, put a bounce in your step and travel to Downtown's Bradley Center to whoop it up for the Milwaukee Bucks as coach Scott Skiles has them shoot and defend their way to a National Basketball Association Finals victory. And you can stick around the Bradley as they change the hardwood to ice for the hard-hitting Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League, whose goal is to reclaim the championship Calder Cup they last held in 2004.
But when it comes to championships, no local team has had more success than the witty Keith Tozer-coached Milwaukee Wave soccer squad. The men in short pants over at the U.S. Cellular Arena have kicked their way to first place in the Major Indoor Soccer League in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2005. Now members of the newly formed Xtreme Soccer League, expect the success to continue.
