We are asking Shepherd readers to vote for state Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa in Assembly District 8 on Tuesday, Aug 9. Zamarripa reflects her constituents’ concerns well in the Assembly and is especially strong on issues relating to women, immigrants, workers’ rights and the LGBT community. Democratic voters in Walker’s Point and the near South Side should give JoCasta Zamarripa another term in office.
