I am curious as to how you can substantiate the claim that the state is less 23,900 jobs since March 2011 when the most recent report from the WDWD (Department of Workforce Development) clearly shows that 18,500 more Wisconsinites are working as of March 2012 as compared to March 2011. So much so that the state has dialed back its unemployment benefit program citing marked improvements in the employment market.

The Thursday April 19th Press release from the WDWD makes mention to the fact that unemployment rates are now at 6.8%, the lowest they have been since 2008. Way to spread misinformation Shepherd. Your readers are disgustingly misinformed, no thanks to you.

They are only quoting th jobs that were lost.  There is no mention of the jobs that were created.  Everywhere you go in the USA jobs are lost.  This really has nothing to do with the governor but more to do with businesses making decisions.
When you consider that people on unemployement pretty much will remain on unemployment until the last check is received, we will alwasy show an artificiallly hight unemployment rate.  The real rate I would guess to be about 2% because my business associates claim there is a massive labor shortage and they cannot find workers.  Plus people unemployed over 26 weeks have kind of shot themselves in the foot for not going back to work.  Many businesses have a policy of not hiring people who have been unemployed longer than 6 months.  It usually means there is something terribly wrong with them.  Even in a bad economy most decent people can get a job within 6 months.
