With temperatures finally starting to heat up it’s the perfect time to take your drinking outdoors, and Milwaukee has some of the best spots to do just that. We have everything from rooftop patios to picturesque views of the Milwaukee River. Here’s 5 of the best spots in the city to get a beer or cocktail outside this summer.
The Backyard: As the name suggests this Bayview bar offers a huge backyard with bag toss, an outdoor television and a grill where you can cook your own food. It feels just like being at home. You can also come down on Thursdays for our Street Eats Wars and stay for an outdoor movie on their projection screen.
Café Benelux: Known more as a restaurant than strictly a drinking establishment Café Benelux is a gem that features a rooftop patio with a great view of Milwaukee’s third ward. It is perfect for a Sunday morning brunch paired with a Bloody Mary or (and?) a Mimosa.
The Harp: This bar, located on Juneau Ave right off of Water St, is home to one of the best views of the Milwaukee River in the city. With a different drink special running every Sunday through Thursday it is a great place to meet with friends for drinks after a long day of work.

Ugly’s: Even while sitting on one of the most popular bar streets in the city Ugly’s stands out. A big reason for that is because of its rooftop patio. Overlooking Old World Third Street this relatively new Milwaukee hotspot is one of the best places you can go for some outdoor drinking all weekend.
Estabrook Park Beer Garden: If you’re looking to have a few beers outdoors, but don’t want to deal with the bar scene this is your spot. With their hours running from noon until 10 p.m. daily it is perfect for a weekend afternoon or relaxing day off.
